Dennis Grady of Estes Park died at home Monday March 14, 2011. He was 78 years old. Dennis George Peter Grady was born July 5, 1932 in Wauwatosa, WI. He was the third of 4 children born to George and Marcella (Augustine) Grady. Dennis served his country during the Korean Conflict as a Navy Corpsman. He moved to Estes Park from Washington, D.C. in 1969 with his family and was General Manager at the Elkhorn Lodge and later at Harmony Foundation. He was a self taught cook and baker and was owner of the Mountaineer Restaurant from 1978 to 1986.
Dennis is survived by his son Stefan Grady and his wife Jolene of Oro Valley, AZ, twin daughters Caren Comeans and her husband Bob of Newman, GA and Colleen Harold and her husband Jim of Portland, OR. He is also survived by the mother of his children Marga Grady of Estes Park, two sisters Marcella St. John of California and Catherine Montgomery of Wisconsin, six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews in Wisconsin in addition to many friends of Bill Wilson. The family thanks all the good neighbors and friends for their support over the years.
