Dave Kiser Candidate For Estes Valley Rec District Board

Dave Kiser is running for the Estes Valley Recreation District Board in next month’s election. A true lover of the mountains, Dave has enjoyed living in Estes Park for twenty years. During this time, he owned Range Property Management as well as Edgewater Heights Cottages. Currently, Dave is a real estate agent for Coldwell Banker in addition to running his own property management business, Estes Park Property Management. He is a family man, with two young daughters Maya and Raina, his wife Marcie plus his extended local family.

Dave is a recreation supporter, beginning in his youth through a variety of athletic pursuits. Once he moved to Estes Park, Dave became involved with the Recreation District personally as an employee of Hidden Valley Ski Area, a men’s basketball league participant, and a volunteer coach for youth programs. Dave found enjoyment and success as the Estes Park High School Varsity Ladycat basketball coach for ten years, where he was named “Coach of the Year” for the Patriot League six times, was honored as the Denver Post 3A Coach of the Year in 2009 as well as being selected to coach in four All-State games. Dave’s teams enjoyed five District championships, seven Regional championships, seven Elite 8 appearances, and two 3A State Championship game runner-up finishes during his coaching career.

Dave is interested in serving on the Recreation Board because he wants to be involved in supporting Estes Park residents and visitors in their recreation activities. He believes that the Recreation District currently does an excellent job in managing our community assets like the marina, golf courses, aquatic center, and trails in addition to providing programs. It is his hope to be an active participant in these and additional future opportunities for all citizens in our Estes community.
