Cultural Arts Council Presents 6th Annual Holiday Art Exhibition & Sale

The Cultural Arts Council Fine Art Gallery is located at 423 W. Elkhorn Ave. in West Park Center is celebrating the season now through December 31, 2008.

Their annual holiday tradition features 73 visual arts members of the Cultural Arts Council of Estes Park in a variety of fine arts & crafts mediums, and spotlights some of the finest work in the nation. The 2008 exhibition is currently on display in the spacious new CAC Fine Art Gallery, which opened in June 2008.

Artists featured reside in Colorado, from across the United States and abroad. Many are of national renown and work includes two and three-dimensional forms for home adornment or gift giving. The annual exhibit is a way to say thank you to the visual arts members, many who volunteer in the gallery, help with major events, donate art for fundraising events or contribute in other ways to the Arts Council each year.
Art in the exhibition for sale includes: paintings in oil, watercolor and acrylic; sculpture in bronze, wood, jewelry in precious metals, semi-precious stones, glass and amber; photography in digital and traditional formats; fused glass; ceramics, fiber and mixed media.

Graham, Jeff Graham, Patricia Hendrickson Greenberg, Deedee Hampton, Wes Hawkins, E.E. Herrmann, Walt Hester, Margaret E. Smaller objects like ornaments, cards, books and cards are also available. The exhibition will also highlight information, art and catalogs for the upcoming national tour, Art and the Animal slated for exhibition in the CAC Fine Art gallery May 30 – July 5, 2009.
The public is invited to attend a Meet the Artists Opening Reception slated for this  Friday December 5, 2008 from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
Musical entertainment will be provided by the Estes Valley Handbell Ensemble.

The Cultural Arts Council of Estes Park extends a special thanks to Blooms Greenhouse located in lower Stanley Village in Estes Park, Colorado for their donation of the beautiful exterior decorations on the entrance to our facility.

Exhibition hours are 12 Noon to 5 p.m.  or can be arranged by special by appointment. The Gallery will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
