Born July 18, 1950, to the late William V. & A. Lorraine Gerlach Rouch, Craig grew up in Wheat Ridge, CO. He married M. Carol Koch on July 13, 1974 and had 3 children: Amber, Seth, and Erin. Craig graduated from Wheat Ridge High School in 1968 and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Northern Colorado in 1980. He received a degree in Pharmacy from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1993. Craig worked for Safeway for 41 years; he was the managing pharmacist for Safeway in Estes Park.
More than anything, Craig adored his family with a love that was anchored by a strong faith in God. He received Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior through a Billy Graham crusade when he was in High School. All his life, Craig loved people unconditionally and especially liked to care for and play with children. He enjoyed hiking, camping, and anything outdoors, along with playing games and pranks, having deep conversations, and reading about historical and scientific topics. Craig taught Sunday school and youth group and was very involved with Christian Church of Estes Park. He and Carol took medical mission trips to India, and have sponsored numerous children and orphans around the world. Craig’s thankful, generous spirit and joyful sense of humor made an impression on all those who knew him. He believed “a good day is not when everything goes right for you but if you do something to right somebody else’s life.”
Craig is survived by his wife, Carol, and three children: Amber (and Adam) Stowe; Seth (and Stephanie) Rouch; and Erin (and Kevin) Walter of Denver, CO; his twin brother, Mark L. (and Cindi) Rouch of Denver; his sister, Karla L. (and Michael) Brunick of Baily, CO; his sister-in-law, Terry L. Rouch of Fort Collins; and numerous precious nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephew. He was preceded in death by his parents and youngest brother, David B. Rouch.
