Community Corner Café Receives Donation

Last year the Estes Park Community Thrift Shop awarded a $2,000 grant to the Community Corner Café, for the purchase of a commercial convection oven. A what? A convection oven essentially doubles the cooking production capability in the kitchen at Shepherd of the Mountains Lutheran Church!

Pictured above admiring the newly installed oven are Dan Norton and Edee Nuetzel from the Thrift Shop; Kelly Brown and Bruce Adams, Community Corner Café; and Pastor Ron Bockhaus, Shepherd of the Mountains Lutheran Church. “Kelly and Bruce both were so thankful to have an oven that helps them keep up with the growing numbers. Thank you Community Thrift Shop!” Not pictured is Dottie Baumgartner, originator of the Thrift Shop in 2007.

The Café operates every Friday, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.; October through April. Meals are free of charge to all… men, women & children!
