Colorful Characters Of Estes Park Now At Stanley Museum
The Stanley Museum is starting a new series of talks on Saturdays. January, 23, 30 and February 6, 13. Tom Danton does an hour and a half presentation at 1 p.m. called “Colorful Characters of Estes Park” There is $5 admission at the Stanley Museum. Tom will discuss how through the 150 years of Estes Park history, several people jump out as memorable personalities. Some of these include Enos Mills, FO Stanley, Isabella Bird, Lord Dunraven, Joel Estes, Charlie Eagle Plume and others. The talk will highlight some of the contributions these people made to the history and colorful charm of Estes Park.
The Stanley Museum is located in Lower Stanley Village just behind the Chocolate Factory. The museum is always happy to welcome new volunteers as well as visitors. Tours of the Steam Barn are also available upon request.
