Clarification Of Absentee Ballot Procedure For April 1 Municipal Election
Earlier this month the approximately 4,500 registered voters within Estes Park town limits received an Absentee Ballot application by postcard. The application on this postcard (shown here) is to be filled out and returned by mail in a separate envelope with the appropriate postage, faxed, or hand-delivered to the Town Clerk’s office. You may even take a photo of the completed application on your smart phone and email to firstname.lastname@example.org. The postcard is not a return postage paid mailing. Any applications that are sent by mail directly on the postcard without being in a posted envelope will be returned to sender by the United States Postal Service.
Completed and signed applications must be received by the Town Clerk’s office by 5 p.m. on March 28; ballots must be cast by 7 p.m. on April 1 to be counted. Voters can find additional dates, deadlines and resources by reading the original news release here, and by visiting www.estes.org/elections.
