Charles Fouts, 64, passed away January 5, 2014, surrounded by his family, after a short term illness and diagnosis of cancer. He is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Aurelia Fouts of Overland Park, Kansas. He is survived by his adored wife of 28 years, Candace, daughter Emily (Nick Kunis), and grandson Cooper; sister Linda (Mark) Clifton and family of Ft Worth, Texas, and Brother-in-law Chris (Jan) Hoy of Prairie Village, Kansas; Aunts Sarah (Don) Knudson, Rita (Roger), Karen (Paul) Leverentz, Uncle Keith Moots and cousins. He leaves many, many friends in the Kansas City area, Allenspark, Estes Park and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
Charlie was born in Kansas City on October 30, 1949, and was raised with a rich Christian heritage that included frequent family gatherings. He graduated from Shawnee Mission East HS (1967) and Pittsburg State University. He was an Eagle Scout and a military veteran. After a successful career in medical sales, he and his family moved to the Estes Park area (2000) and became the proud owner of the Wynbrier Ltd Wildlife Gallery (2007).
Charlie was devoted to his family and trusted his Lord, his Savior. He loved his life and enjoyed it to the fullest, whether he was boating, on his ATV, at his yearly vacation to Puerto Vallarta, telling a funny story, enjoying his wife’s cooking or hanging out with his grandson Cooper. The best two days of his life were the day he met his wife Candace and the day they adopted their daughter Emily.
We will remember his big laugh, his big smile, and his big heart…
