Celebrating The Season With The Cultural Arts Council Of Estes Park


7th Annual Holiday Art Exhibition & Sale November 20, 2009 through   January 3, 2010

The Cultural Arts Council of Estes Park Fine Art Gallery is decked and “Celebrating the Season” with a 7th annual holiday art exhibition currently on display through January 3, 2010. Free and open to the public, the show features 64 visual arts members of the Cultural Arts Council of Estes Park in a variety of fine arts and crafts mediums, and spotlights some of the finest work in the nation.

A majority of the artists are from Colorado, but others reside in California, New Mexico, Texas and Norway. Work includes 2 and 3-dimensional forms for home adornment or gift giving.

Art includes: paintings in oil, watercolor and acrylic; sculpture in bronze and wood, jewelry in precious metals, semi-precious stones, glass, and amber; photography in digital and traditional formats; fused glass; ceramics, fiber, and mixed media. Smaller objects like ornaments, cards, and books will also be available. The collection is a diverse mix of landscapes, wildlife, figurative, still life, winter and abstract imagery.

The public is invited to attend an Artist Reception and holiday celebration on Friday, December 4 from 6 to 8 p.m. The evening will include food, music and refreshments. Cynthia Hoyle will perform a selection of holiday favorites on the piano throughout the evening. Attendees can meet the artists, and learn more about their work.

The exhibition is Tour stop #1 on the 13th Annual Holiday Art Walk and the CAC Fine Art Gallery is located at 423 W. Elkhorn Ave. in West Park Center. Exhibition hours are 12 noon to 5 p.m. daily. The exhibition is free and open to the public. The Cultural Arts Council of Estes Park is a 501 (c)(3) non profit organization and a portion of all proceeds from art sales in the gallery go back into visual and performing arts programs that benefit persons of all ages in the greater Estes Valley.
