CACEP Hosting Red Tag Sale To Raise Funds For National Tour “Art And The Animal”

Through April 19, the Cultural Arts Council is holding a Red Tag Benefit Sale in Fine Art Gallery concurrent with Student Expressions Student Art Show at 423 W. Elkhorn Ave. in Estes Park, CO. The public has the opportunity to view and acquire this fine art collection. Some of the art is being offered at below market or appraised value.

A collection of items have been donated to the Cultural Arts Council of Estes Park to help raise money to underwrite the Society of Animal Artists (SAA) National Museum Tour, Art and the Animal coming to Estes Park this summer. The cost to bring Art and the Animal to Estes Park, CO is in the range of $18,000 – $20,000, and features some of the world’s finest animal artists working in painting and sculpture. 63 items will be on display in the Art And The Animal national tour at the CAC Fine Art Gallery May 30 through July 5, 2009.

The Red Tag items include incredible works of art such as Native American antiquities, a Herb Mignery bronze, collectible rugs, jewelry and works by contemporary artists. Some art objects have been professionally appraised, and copies of the appraisals are available.

Cash donations and sponsorships to help bring Art And The Animal to the Estes Park can be made at any time. The Cultural Arts Council of Estes Park is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, and contributions are tax-deductible to the extent of the law.

Gallery hours are 12 noon to 5 p.m. daily.  The gallery will be closed Easter Sunday April 12.
