Business On Alert
The Town of Estes Park Police Department will host “Businesses on Alert,” a new seminar for business owners and their employees, on Monday, March 28 at 7 p.m. at the Estes Park Museum meeting room, 200 Fourth Street. “Businesses on Alert” will cover topics including how to handle shoplifting and becoming more aware of potential credit card fraud and customers attempting to use counterfeit bills and fraudulent checks.
Tips will be offered on handling disruptive customers and when to call 9-1-1. Also covered will be the Town’s use of Everbridge mass notification. Presentations will be made by officers and staff from the Police Department. Reservations are not required for this free seminar. Estes Park Police Chief Wes Kufeld said members of the local business community have requested a presentation covering these topics. Chief Kufeld noted, “The
‘Businesses on Alert’ seminar will make participants more aware of the current issues that face them at their places of business.”
He continued, “They’ll leave the seminar with new skills to keep them a step ahead.”
