Brad Fitch To Present Tenth Annual John Denver Tribute Concert August 30

John-Denver-ConcertThe Estes Park Lions Club will host the Tenth Annual John Denver Tribute Concert in Estes Park, Colorado, the evening of Friday, August 30th at Stanley Park Fairgrounds. Keeping John Denver’s legacy very much alive, Estes Park’s own “Cowboy” Brad Fitch and his TropiCowboy Band will perform Denver’s most beloved songs in this crowd-pleasing show.

Funds raised through this event are donated to Lions Club charities. The majority go to organizations for the sight and hearing impaired, community social services and local scholarships.

“This is one of the most gratifying shows that I perform and I’m proud to keep John Denver’s music, memory and message alive through this event,” Fitch said.

“Performing John Denver’s songs is pure joy. I love hearing how many people remember and enjoy his music and sing along to every word. These songs share messages that are as pertinent today as when Denver first wrote them.”

“Throughout the past decade I have rotated different musicians through the TropiCowboy Band to keep this concert fresh,” Fitch said. “Each of them adds a unique flavor to these wonderful songs. This year I will again be joined on stage by Estes Park’s resident drummer Ward Durrett. Johnny Neill, of Denver, has performed this concert with me every year since 2006 and will play the fiddle and mandolin. On bass will again be 18-year-old Eamonn Morris, of Boulder, who is my nephew and a freshman at the University of Colorado,” Fitch said. “And you just might see some of my other family members join us on stage.”

Fairground gates will open at 5 p.m. The opening act will be Chain Station, a popular front range bluegrass band.
