Bob “B” Kunis
Bob “B” Kunis of Estes Park, CO died Thursday April 24, 2008. He was 52 years old. Robert Joseph Kunis was born October 16, 1955 in Roseland, IL. His parents were Robert & Alice (Doyle) Kunis. On October 20, 1979 he married Mary Ellen Kunzer in Tinley Park, IL. The couple moved to Estes Park in 1981 where he worked in construction, starting his own Busy “B” Construction company in 1988, specializing in framing custom homes.
His family are parishioners of Our Lady of the Mountains Catholic Church in Estes Park, he bowled with the Bowling Stones Team, and sponsored the Killer Bees softball team. “B” was also a volunteer at Partners Mentoring and had helped to construct the Hidden Valley Ranger Station and Warming Area and he refurbished the Whyte Cabins in Moraine Park. He built Barlow Plaza, Crocker Ranch, Lionscrest Manor in Lyons and many others. His hobbies included fishing, working on cars, hunting, and golf.
“B” Kunis is survived by his wife Mary Ellen Kunis of Estes Park, a daughter Kathryn Nicole Kunis of Longmont, CO, a son Nicholas Adam Kunis, also of Estes Park, brothers Paul Kunis and wife Debbie of Bridgeview, IL and William Kunis and wife Jimmie of Lowell, IN a sister Maureen Smith and her husband Jim of Buckley, WA and a step-brother Rob Peterson and wife Lori of Manteno, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Alice Kunis and a sister, Therese Marie Kunis.
There was a visitation at Allnutt Funeral Chapel Wednesday, April 30.
A Mass of The Christian Burial was celebrated Thursday at Our Lady of The Mountains Church. A pot luck reception will follow at the Estes Park American Legion Post #119. Memorial contributions may be made to the Robert Kunis memorial fund in care of Allnutt Funeral Service 1302 Graves Ave Estes Park, CO 80517.
