August 12th Is Colorado Primary
The Estes Park League of Women Voters wishes to remind voters that August 12th is the date of the Colorado Primary. It is not a Presidential Primary but an election to nominate candidates from the Republican and Democratic parties for the US Senate and House of Representatives, elective Statewide offices, State legislators, and District and County offices. There will be only one candidate per office on the ballots of both parties. The Primary Election ballot is mandated by State law. Sample ballots may be viewed on Larimer.org/elections. If you have questions, you are welcome to call Jackie Williamson, Estes Park Town Clerk, at 577-3702, or e-mail her at email@example.com.
Voting on August 12th can be done in person at the Municipal Building, 170 MacGregor Ave., Room 202 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. You may vote early between August 4-8 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Mail-in ballots will be acceptable, and it is advised that you telephone 577-2025 or drop by the Larimer County Clerk’s office, 1601 Brodie Avenue, for information regarding deadlines as soon as possible.
October 6th is the last day to register for the General Election on November 4th. Registration can be done at either the City or the County offices. The Estes Park League of Women Voters looks forward to serving the community by sponsoring forums and providing information concerning the General Election.
Please call 586-3288 if you have questions about the August 12th Primary, or if you have suggestions to make regarding the most effective ways to educate our community for the General Election in November.
