Association For Responsible Development Announces New Officers
The Association for Responsible Development (ARD) today announced its new officers for 2009.
ARD, a non-profit, citizen based organization founded in 1985, is dedicated to preserving the unique mountain character and natural beauty of the Estes Valley by fostering appropriate and responsible development.
“Our organization has grown tremendously in the past year,” said President Dave Albee. “Wildlife, open space, and the small-town mountain character of the Estes Valley are key reasons people choose to visit and live here. Our efforts to promote increased collaboration among elected officials, town planners, developers as well as neighborhood groups, have been very well received. As president of ARD, I look forward to supporting continued communication regarding these issues.”
ARD is not opposed to growth and is not an anti-development organization. It is a group of concerned citizens committed to working with the community to ensure that, as the Estes Valley increases in population, it grows not only in an economically beneficial way, but also in a manner which conserves and preserves the natural treasures and quality way of life unique to the area.
The Association extends an invitation to anyone interested in the organization’s goals to visit one of the regularly scheduled meetings held on the second Friday of each month. The next meeting will be held on February 13 in the Assisted Living Multi-Purpose Room at Good Samaritan Village.
