Antique Fire Truck Helps Immensely
Volunteer fireman Doug Klink’s antique 1967 snorkel firetruck from Parson, KS was put back into operation this week when Doug saw the need for another way to get water high up on the Park Theatre Mall fire. “It’s quite a thrill for any fire truck collector to be able to actually put one of your old trucks into action”
Doug stated. Fire Chief Scott Dorman added that “Doug’s truck with it’s 75 foot reach and getting another water hose on the fire right away really helped in getting the fire under control faster.”
Doug also said that “It was pretty thrilling at times being up above such a big blaze” but Doug was more than happy to help out. Thanks Doug!
