Anna Livia Monroe
Anna Livia Monroe, 87, of Loveland passed away on June 10, 2013. Anna was born on April 22, 1926 in Walsenburg, CO to John and Antonia (Crnkovich) Klarich. She was raised in Louisville, the daughter of a coal miner and graduated from East High School in Denver. Then she attended Denver University and was a member of the Epsilon Sigma Alpha sorority. Anna married Dale Monroe on April 20, 1964 in Denver. She worked at 1st National Bank of Denver, starting as a teller and worked her way up to a supervisor and trainer of new employees for 37 years until she retired. Anna loved bowling, working with plants and flowers, dancing, eating sweets, reading, playing cards and water aerobics. Most of all, Anna loved taking care of her granddaughter.
Anna is survived by her husband of almost 50 years, Dale; son Ron Monroe of Estes Park; step-sons Terry (Kathy) Stamm of Kansas City, KS and Larry (Patty) Stamm of Omaha, NE; step-daughter Cindy (David) Olson of Tekamah, NE; grandchildren Reanna, Bryson, Dana, Kara, Brittany, Lisa and Delorah and five great-grandchildren; two nieces and four nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Alma and Mary Dorothy.
A gathering of remembrance will be held on Tuesday, June 25 at Allnutt Chapel, 1302 Graves Ave. Estes Park from 12 to 2 p.m., food and refreshments will be served. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Assoc.
