A Letter From The Estes Valley Fire Protection Board

An Open Letter to the Citizens of the Estes Valley,

Thanks to your support, January 1 marked the transition from the Estes Park Fire Department to the Estes Valley Fire Protection District. This has truly been a community solution to a community need.

Due to the work of so many individuals the transition has been as smooth as could possibly be expected.

We are proud to work with highly-trained and caring volunteers who serve so selflessly. We will work to insure they continue to be adequately trained and equipped so they can do their job effectively and safely.

Chief Scott Dorman and Administrative Assistant Connie Bowser, have provided invaluable support during the transition and are to be commended on their professionalism.

The assistance of Town Finance Officer Steve McFarland and his staff has been key in our ability to smoothly transition to a new decade in fire protection for our community.

As your elected Board of Directors it is our commitment to live up to your expectations and our mission of providing superior fire and safety service to our community. We are excited about the opportunities and mindful of the responsibilities.

Our meetings are scheduled for the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Training Room at the Dannels Fire Station next to the Bureau. We look forward to having visitors and community input.

Thank you and we wish all a safe and Happy New Year.

Sincerely

Estes Valley Fire Protection Board Members
