A Big Thanks To All Our Heroes!

The 6th annual St. Baldrick’s Day event was organized by the Estes Park Mountain Shop and was hosted by the historic Crags Lodge. The event was held last on March 29 and participating barbers came from Tina and her students at Hair Dynamics in Fort Collins. Entertainment was provided by McTeggart Irish Dancers from Fort Collins and Loveland, Center Stage Irish Dancers from Estes Park, and DJ Him Kadlececk from Estes Park Music with Master of Ceremonies, Ryan McGovern.

Food and beverages were donated by Domino’s Pizza, Estes Park Brewery, Mary’s Lake Lodge, Poppy’s Pizza and Grill, Rambo’s Longhorn Liquor Mart, Safeway, both Estes Park Subway shops, Country Supermarket, Smokin’ Dave’s Barbecue, the Stanley Hotel, Oskar Blues, Reel Mountain Theater and Wendy and Shelly at the River Spruce. Media coverage and press was provided by the Estes Park News and the Estes Park Trail Gazette. A special thanks to all of our volunteers at the event itself!

Since its inception in 2000, St. Baldrick’s Day has raised more than $20 million for the cause, to find a cure for childhood cancer. The Estes Park event has raised almost $100,000 in the last six years. This is unique in that a town of 10,000 raises a ton of money each year. Just imagine what the numbers would look like if the city of Denver, or every major city across the U.S. could do the same thing.
You can still make a donation or learn more about St. Baldrick’s Foundation by visiting www.GuideStar.org, or     www.StBaldricks.org or by calling      888-899-BALD.

Thank you again.
