Todd Charles Wright, 40, passed away, January 9, 2013 in the Hospice Unit at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, Texas from long-term complications of a bone marrow transplant he received in 1992 to cure leukemia. Todd was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter and Laurene Strehlman and Charles Wright Sr. of St. Louis. Todd so appreciated his marrow donor, Ron Guillen, the doctors and staff of City of Hope, St. Louis Children’s and Barnes-Jewish Hospitals for helping him survive and enjoy 20 more years of life. Last September, when Todd and his family visited his parents in Estes Park, he expressed his wish to be buried in the Estes Valley Memorial Gardens as his happiest memories were from his family’s memorable annual visits to the YMCA of the Rockies.
Visitation and interment were Wednesday, January 16th. Donations for those who wish to City of Hope Medical Center, Duarte, California or charity of choice.
