Estes Park resident John Anderson died at home Tuesday, October 16, 2012. He was 51 years old. John Kimball Anderson, II was born June 3, 1961 at Warner Robbins Air Force Base in Warner Robins GA. His parents were John and Carolyn (McDaniel) Anderson. John graduated from Forest Park High School in Beaumont,Texas in 1980 and went to work as an electrical lineman apprentice. In 1985 he joined the United States Air Force where he studied to become a food service specialist. After discharge, John returned to Estes Park where he was a long time chef for Nicky’s Restaurant.
John enjoyed fishing and celebrating holidays with his family. He especially loved Independence Day and Thanksgiving. He was a true patriot which was evident by the large collection of American flags in and around his home.
After living in Ohio for a brief few years, John returned to Estes Park in 2007. In 2008 he married Estes Park resident Tracy Robichaud. The couple made their home in Estes Park.
John is survived by his wife Tracy, mother and stepfather Carolyn and Stan Jones of Estes Park, son John, Jr., daughter Kimberly Anderson, both of Ohio, sisters Barbara Eddy of Estes Park and Laura MacFarlane of Little Elm, Texas and granddaughters Kailyn Anderson and Ryleigh Kinsel both of Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father, John Kimball Anderson.
John was also a great friend to Tracy’s two children Jeremiah and Heather as well as being “Grandpa” to Heather’s children, Jahsom, Leila and Dennis.
