Thelma Cook Arnold
Thelma Cook Arnold, 95, of Estes Park died October 22, 2012 at Estes Park Medical Center. She was born October 21, 1917 to Lillian and Edgar Cook, in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Her family preceded her in death and two brothers were killed in World War II. She was a resident of Colorado Springs from 1950-1998, at which time she moved to Estes Park with her husband William W. Arnold.
Mrs. Arnold graduated from Colorado State University, and taught home economics in Segundo, Colorado prior to her marriage to William Arnold in 1940. She was married to William until his death in 2000.
Mrs. Arnold is survived by her son Leonard J. Arnold and daughter-in-law Judy Arnold of Lyons, Colorado, her daughter Patricia Oldham and her son-in-law Ron Oldham of Bemidji, Minnesota, as well as grandchildren Alyssa N. Ericksen, Brian Oldham, Chelsea Oldham and Piper and Darren Vollmer. She had three great-grandchildren, Brennen, Declan and Eva Ericksen.
Thelma was dearly loved by her family. She deeply touched the lives of everyone she knew, and will be greatly missed.
Interment will be held at Estes Park Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 26. A celebration of Thelma’s life will be held at Rocky Mountain Evangelical Free Church in Estes Park at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 27.
