Ernest Charles Young Jr.

A long time resident of Estes Park, Ernest C. Young Jr., (Thumper) 51 passed away September 28, 2012. At his request, no service will be held.

Thumper was born February 23, 1961, in Loveland, CO, to Ernest and Mary Ellen Young. Thumper was married to Peggy Young for 29 years. Thumper lived in Estes Park his entire life and graduated from Estes Park High School in 1980. Thumper established his own Water Treatment Business for several years working in the Estes Valley and the Front Range.

He loved going on family vacations, target shooting, and fishing. He was an avid chess player. In 1983, Thumper married his high school sweetheart Peggy Durward.

He is survived by his wife Peggy and three children Ernest Young III (Ty) who is serving in the Navy; stationed in Bremerton, WA, Geoffrey Young of Estes Park, CO, and Cora Young of Estes Park, CO. Mother Mary Ellen Young of Estes Park, CO, sisters; Shirley (Steve) Ingram of Estes Park, CO, Sherry (David) Bellefeuille of Morrison, CO, one niece Brittany Bellefeuille, Bakersfield, CA. three nephews; Jonathan (Allison) Ingram of Estes Park, CO, Kevin (Bethany) Ingram of Estes Park, CO, Aaron (Alicia) Bellefeuille of Evergreen, CO, two great nephews Cole (Jonathan & Allison) Ingram and Blake (Kevin & Bethany) Ingram.
