Trustee Blackhurst To Present Marketing District At Next League Mtg.
The League of Women Voters of Estes Park will meet on Wednesday, October 8th at 9 a.m. in the Hondius Room of the Library. All members of the community are welcome to attend.
Eric Blackhurst, a member of the Town Board of Trustees, will explain Referred Issues 5D and 5E that will appear on the November ballot. 5D creates a Marketing District for Estes Park and surrounding areas. 5E authorizes a 2% tax on the price of overnight accommodations of less than 30 days. The proceeds will be used for marketing and promotion. There will be ample time for questions.
The last day to register for the November election is this Monday, October 6th. The League will sponsor a Voters Forum for candidates and ballot questions on Thursday, October 16th at 7 p.m. in the Town Board Room. There are 18 Ballot questions this year and the Colorado League of Women Voters has an informational pamphlet explaining them all that is available at the Library.
