Community Bear Meeting
The Town of Estes Park will host a community meeting on August 9 at 6 p.m. to discuss issues related to black bears in the community. The meeting will be held in the Town Board Room of Town Hall, 170 MacGregor Ave. Community members are encouraged to attend and voice their comments and concerns related to bear and human interactions in Estes Park. Representatives from the Colorado Parks and Wildlife will also participate.
Town Administrator Frank Lancaster commented, “It’s important that we successfully coexist with black bears and other wildlife.” He continued, “The Town wants to hear more from residents on the bear issue as we consider what the next steps could be in making improvements in this area.”
