Community Representatives Needed For Town Administrator Interview Panel
The Estes Park Town Board has identified six finalists for the Town Administrator position to interview during a public process scheduled for March 20-21. The process includes a community panel interview to be conducted by citizens at-large and invited community group representatives on March 20 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Those interested in serving as citizens at-large on the panel should contact Administrative Services Director Jackie Williamson at 970-577-4771 or firstname.lastname@example.org by March 14 at 5 p.m. A random drawing will decide the at-large panel representatives; all individuals expressing interest will be contacted by March 15.
So that the public may interact with the finalists, a community “meet and greet” will take place March 20 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at the Concert Hall at the Stanley Hotel, 333 Wonderview Ave. in Estes Park.
The finalists are, in alphabetical order: Ed Green, Frank Lancaster, David Mitchem, Richard Carl Olson, Lowell C. Richardson and D. Michael Segrest. Finalist information is available at www.estes.org.
In addition to the community panel, finalists will be interviewed by a panel of Town staff and by the Town Board. All interviews will be open to the public; however, public comments will not be accepted. A draft schedule of the interview process, subject to change, is available at www.estes.org. Community panel and Town Board interviews will be recorded and aired live on cable channel 12, as well as posted to www.estes.org approximately two days after the interviews.
The Town Board expects to appoint and announce the new Town Administrator in early April. The Town received 104 applications for the Town Administrator position. After reviewing the consultant’s report on the leading candidates during a March 5 special meeting, the board selected the six finalists. The Town Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Town, carrying out the policies set by the Town Board. The position oversees more than 150 fulltime, part-time and seasonal employees, as well as more than 500 volunteers. To receive Town news and/or agendas by email, email email@example.com.
