Estes Park resident Manley “Lee” Osterman died at the Medical Center of the Rockies on Monday, September 8, 2008. He was 62 years old. Manley A. Osterman was born October 23, 1945 in Kalamazoo, MI. His parents were Andrew and Minnie (Carlson) Osterman.
Lee grew up in Kalamazoo, MI and graduated from Mattawan High School. He married Sandra White on December 18, 1976 in Kalamazoo, MI. Lee moved to Colorado in 1981 and has been in Estes Park since 2003. He was a maintenance manager for apartment facilities and an artist, owning a small business, “Knot Always The Same.” Lee participated in public interest groups concerning town government. He loved Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park for its people, the beauty of the area and its wildlife.
Lee is survived by his wife Sandy of Estes Park, CO; a brother, Gerald Osterman and wife Mary of Kalamazoo, MI; sisters Joyce Tassel and husband Bob of Flushing, MI, Norene Maxam and husband Earl of Kalamazoo, MI and Karen Steinberger and husband Bill of Mendon, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
