Feliksa Isles, “Felicia Garbowski,” 70, formerly from Boulder, Colorado, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2010, in St. Joseph, MO.

She was born January 6, 1940, in Poland, daughter of Anita and Ralph Garbowski. Feliksa graduated from Convent of Sacred Heart High School and attended the St. Stanislaus School in Missouri and University of Colorado in Boulder. She taught school in Colorado and Kansas. Feliksa was preceded in death by son, Todd Benner, of Longmont, Colorado and a sister, Anne Harrison.

Survivors include her parents, Ralph and Anita Garbowski of St. Joseph; daughter, Allison Fay Foster and Son-in-Law Shad Foster of Denver, Colo.; two brothers, Casey Garbowski of San Diego, and Richard Garbowski of Devlin, Ontario; a sister, Halina Garbowski of Pflugerville, Texas; three grandchildren; Bailey Barner and Tyler & Quinten Benner of Longmont, Colorado and numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Commemoration was be celebrated at St. Joseph, MO.

A Colorado Mass and Service will be held for Feliksa at St. Malo Catholic Church in Allenspark, CO by Father Joseph Hartmann on Sunday, March 14th at 1:00 p.m. Friends and family are invited to 1926 Big Owl Road, Allenspark, CO after the service.
