Fred William Brauer, Jr.
Fred Brauer, of Estes Park, Colorado, formerly of Dixon, Illinois, and Crossville, Tennessee, passed away May 16, 2008, at Prospect Park Living Center.
Mr. Brauer was born May 8,1922, in Dixon, Illinois to Hazel M. (Gooch) Brauer and Fred Brauer.
He married Evelyn Irene Page on June 5,1952, in Oquawka, Illinois. Mr. Brauer farmed the family homestead in Palmyra Township, Illinois, for many years. He was an Os Gold Seed dealer, pilot, hunter, and devoted partner to Irene in their farming and many business endeavors. He and Irene traveled internationally and in their later years, traveled in their motor home, using Crossville as their home base.
Survivors include a brother-in-law, Earl Page, of Bartow, CA; a sister-n-law, Clara Brauer, of Sterling, II; nieces Karen Page Crislip (Dr. George)and Paula Peat Page Martin (Brent) of Estes Park, CO, Patricia Whittenberg, of Cedar Rapids, IA; nephews Evan Martin Page, of Nokesville, VA, and Charles Brauer of Dixon, IL; and a cousin Jean Marquart (Richard), of Estes Park, CO.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by loving wife, his brother Edward Brauer, and a nephew, Michael Dean Page.
