Library To Close For Late December Remodeling
The Youth Room of the Estes Park Public Library will be undergoing a major remodeling project in late December. The popular children’s area will be improved with a new design and new carpeting along with comfortable furnishings and attractive features. Other improvements will include repainting the lobby, new overhead lighting in the atrium, fixture upgrades in the restrooms, and new stairwell treads.
Because the construction work will impact access and safety in the library, the building will be closed to the public beginning on Monday, December 15. The building will re-open on Monday, December 29.
Library staff will be working during the construction time to assist with moving materials and related projects.
Staff and volunteers will answer phones and offer limited service during designated daytime hours. Details will be announced in the weeks ahead about hours of limited access and what services patrons may access during construction time. Plans include an off-site storytime event and community access to free paperback shelves around town. Library visitors are encouraged to “stock up” on reading and other materials to take home before December 15. For any questions, please contact library staff at 586-8116.
