Marge Gorman of The Villages, FL passed away on Sept. 2, 2013 in Boca Raton, FL, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. Marge was born on Oct. 15, 1940 in Leadville, CO to Gus and Sis Gorman. Marge was raised in Estes Park, CO, graduated from Estes Park High School in 1958, attended Phoenix College in Phoenix, AZ for three years. She was very active in music while attending Phoenix College. In 1962 she became a flight attendant for American Airlines, her life career of 42 years. As her friends say “she was a legend” at American. She was based in Dallas for 30 years, and then transferred to Miami where she finished her career. Upon retirement she moved from Fort Lauderdale, FL to The Villages, FL to begin a new chapter of her life. She was very active in many clubs in The Villages and enjoyed her life as a retiree. She is survived by her sister, Millie Billings-Zambrano (Frank) of Estes Park, CO and Delray Beach, FL, her niece Cami Billings of Dallas, TX and her dear friend Claude Seltzer of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and many cousins. Her grandparents Theodore and Ethel Schlapfer were early pioneers of Estes Park, CO. A Celebration of Life reception will be held Oct. 19, 2013, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Arnold Palmer County Club in The Villages, FL.
