What in the world is “Zinio?” Nothing less than the world’s largest newsstand. Beginning Saturday, June 15, a fine selection of Zinio’s electronic magazines will be available through the Estes Valley Library. All that cardholders will need is their Estes Valley Library card and a valid email address to get started. The local Zinio collection will include dozens of titles, from “Consumer Reports” to “Bird Watching”, and from “Seventeen” to “Newsweek” (the latter is now published only electronically).

The Library is also announcing a new way to enjoy audiobooks: soon, cardholders may download them to their own mobile device or to a computer and listen utilizing a new service called Recorded Books One Click Digital. Thousands of popular audiobooks will be available, including over 1200 titles for young people. Users will be able to create an account with their Estes Valley Library card, then proceed to select their preferred method for listening.

Library users are encouraged to watch for details in mid-June on the Library website at estesvalleylibrary.org on how to access these new eServices.

The public is invited to a special event titled “eLope with your eLove”, an Open House on Saturday, June 15 from 9 a.m. to Noon where they can learn all about the rich, abundant and convenient eMedia available from the Library. Attendees on June 15 may bring along their “eLove”—that mobile reading device that will inspire even more passion for reading after discovering eBooks, eMagazines, and eAudio from the Estes Valley eLibrary. Attendees should also bring along their Library card and passwords to learn how to access the services.

In addition, eBooks continue to be accessible through the Cloud Library, with more than a thousand titles to choose from. eBook Readers are also available for check-out to those who don’t own their own reading device. This program is made possible through funding from the Friends of the Library.

For more information, contact the Library at (970) 586-8116 or visit estesvalleylibrary.org
