2009 Estes Park Antique & Collectors Show This Weekend
Antique lovers, collectors and treasure hunters are looking forward to the 2009 Estes Park Antique Show, which will open its doors from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 23rd at the Stanley Fairgrounds. The show, which typically attracts 2,000 visitors, will run through Sunday afternoon (4:00 p.m.). Admission is only $1.00 for adults and free for children ages 12 and under.
Antiques and collectables serve as a visual reminder of community and family histories. Baseball cards, post cards, books, pottery and glass have the power to transport folks through time and serve as tangible reminders of times past. Serious collectors and the causal visitor will enjoy stepping back through time or hunting for a hidden treasure.
Plan to grab a cup of coffee, lunch or a snack and enjoy a leisurely stroll through more than 40 dealers’ booths. The show, which is a fundraiser for the Rooftop Rodeo, will feature dealers from Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, Wyoming, and New Mexico. A wide range of antiques and collectibles will be on display including books (Bev’s Books), restored wood-burning stoves (Mountain Man Stoves), glass (Cedar Post). Collectors interested in furniture and decorative pieces will enjoy visiting Bell Tower, Bennett Antiques, Bijou Creek, and Black Mountain Trader. Ski Country will return with rustic home décor and Antique Orphanage will have treasures large and small. Northern Bell will also be back with jewelry unique collectables, so there will be something for everyone at 2009 show.
