2008 Safety Fair Will Feature
The Estes Park Volunteer Fire Department and the Estes Park Police Department invite residents and visitors the the 2008 Safety Fair where they can take advantage of a wonderful opportunity to find out more about fire mitigation, pine bark beetles, fire safety, safe bike handling, car seat inspections and much more. The event is for children and adults and all activities are free and open to the public.
This event will take place on Saturday, May 17 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Stanley Park Fairgrounds, Barn “W.” This is a one stop day of fun where participants will become more aware of how to enjoy life safely. Adults and children can learn through the use of displays, talk to participants and enjoy many hands on activities.
Participating in this event will be members of Estes Park’s Police Department, Police Auxiliary, Volunteer Fire Department, Estes Park Medical Center, Larimer County Sheriff’s Office, Rocky Mountain National Park Rangers, Larimer County Search & Rescue, Colorado State Forest Service, U.S. Forest Service, FireWise Community representatives, and, as a special treat, a Blackhawk helicopter will make an appearance.
Enjoy a free lunch at the fair and bike helmets will be given away to children (while supply lasts). Bring the family for a day of fun while you help your youngsters learn how to have fun safely.
